These are further reading/ exploration resources to go along with a talk that is supposed to happen at Online Northwest tomorrow. If I sound less than confident, it is because this is the view from my front door.
I live a 10 minute walk from the conference venue, and this is western Oregon, and we don’t really do snow.
I hope my doubts are misplaced, because this is routinely one of my favorite conferences and even though I am being denied the opportunity to hear some good friends speak by poor scheduling luck, I was really looking forward to the keynote. I saw on the twitter that Andromeda won’t be able to get here, though, so things are not looking up.

Aw thanks :). I’m serious about it not going away – Hannah and I are doing additional data gathering almost as we speak & talking about the next phase at LIW.
(It’s safe to say that, right? There is no chance of being snowed in in July?)
I was looking forward to the keynote too :/ We were going to Skype me in if the conference had happened…but really, it’s best that no one had to put themselves in danger driving there.
So so true. We ended up with about 8 inches I’ve been told and with almost no capacity to clear the snow, that gets really dicey, really fast. I’m pretty sure I only saw one day of snow like this my entire childhood in western Oregon, and this is now our second such snowfall in 2 months. I’m hoping it’s a freakish anomaly like in the Little House books, and not a new normal!
